New Britain High School scored a 56-44 win over Wethersfield in the championship game of the CCC tournament to complete a sweep through the field. Symone Roberts had 28 and Monika Malec added 16 to lead the 'Canes to the win over the tough Eagles who had lost just once prior to the championship game. Abigail Corning had 15 to lead Wethersfield.
New Britain swept through the tourney with a first round bye, a 73-56 victory over Fermi in the quarters and a 54-38 win over Windsor in the semis. New Britain has yet to lose on the court this season as they prepare to battle in the CIAC Class LL tournament.
Wethersfield reached the finals by beating Platt 60-47 in the quarters and Manchester 52-43 in the semi final round. The Eagles are ranked fourth in a loaded CLass L field.

Twelve teams will be selected this year for the tournament. Four divisional winners and the next best eight teams. Regular season division champions get a first round bye. Next eight teams are seeded according to the procedures outline below. Play in round begins on Thursday of the last week of the season with the eight wildcards. Once these games are complete, re-seed the remaining 8 teams (four division winners and 4 wildcard winners) based on the procedures outline below.
